Chad Osgood, CEO/Managing Partner  |  Premier Logic

Chad is CEO of Premier Logic, a consumer-focused technologist and business strategist. He has been in leadership
roles for more than a decade, led over 100 client engagements large and small in a multitude of different technology
environments.
Chad founded 18th Floor Ventures in 2010 in an effort to drive technology investments in Atlanta, and he focuses on
startup valuation, execution and early stage financing. 18th Floor Ventures currently has 4 portfolio companies, 3 of
which were revenue-generating inside 6 months and 2 already profitable.
Chad drives the Premier Logic vision and strategic relationships, including numerous non-profits around Atlanta.
He’s passionate about giving back to the community and likes to align Premier Logic’s activities with charitable
causes that nurture local organizations.

Jessica Black is the Director of Sales & Marketing for Premier Logic, out of Atlanta. Jessica is a results-focused
business development professional, with a proven track record of success in entrepreneurial to large corporate
environments. She has seven years of IT Sales, Account Management and Professional Services experience.
Areas of expertise include Project Management, Brand Positioning, Direct & Database Marketing and Vendor
Management.
Jessica is a proven public relations spokes person and fundraiser for many national organizations and charities. She
is recognized for building enriched relationships with a myriad of clients, referral sources and business partners.
Prior to joining Premier Logic, Jessica graduated from the University of Georgia and quickly began her careerin Technology with IBM, as a Global Sales Representative. She then moved to other smaller Atlanta based ITconsulting & staffing companies. Jessica’s passion is volunteering for organizations like Children’s Miracle Network,Hands on Atlanta, Big Brother Big Sisters Program, and Children’s Hospital of Atlanta. Jessica is truly addicted tovolunteering and helping others. She also enjoys marathon training and photography.

Alvin C. Miles is a native of Lake Charles, LA, and he retired from AT&T with over 30 years of business experience. He is the Director of Business Development for the award-winning Executive MBA Program (EMBA) and an Instructor of Management in the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University. Alvin has also served in many leadership capacities to support his alma mater. He was a Vice-President for EMBARK, the alumni association for the EMBA program. He served as both a team and an individual coach, and he also served on the Coaching Advisory Board. Alvin currently teaches Introduction to Teaming, Introduction to Team Constitutions, High Performance Teaming and Teaming & Beyond. He discussed the Program as a guest on “Money Talks” in 2010.

 

Alison Keefe / Kennesaw State University

Dr. Keefe is the interim Program Director and Associate Professor of Economics and Business Simulations for the Coles College Executive MBA program at Kennesaw State University. She teaches micro, macro, and international economics as well as facilitates the hands-on Income/Outcome® simulation and Foundation® and Capstone® business simulations. She holds a Ph.D. in applied economics from Auburn University with specializations in international and resource economics, and she is an active researcher in the fields of international economics and commodities trade as well as economic development and resource economics.

 

Philip Wilheit Jr. /  Wilheit Packaging LLC

Philip Wilheit Jr. came on the show with us today to discuss effective networking in Atlanta. He is a partner of Wilheit Packaging LLC where he manages online marketing and sales. They work with several Fortune 500 companies like Mars/Wrigley, Steelcase Industries and Mohawk Industries. In addition to being a Partner at Wilheit Packaging LLC, Philip also owns TargetMatz LLC (a game that  helps children with basic math) and is co-owner of Copia Limousine Commany LLC.

 

 

 

Adrian Cronje: Chief Investment Officer With Balentine, And Karen Carlisle: VP Corporate Communications And Development With Nobis Works

Adrian J. Cronje, CFA®, Ph.D, Partner and Chief Investment Officer, Balentine

 

Adrian Cronje is Balentine’s Chief Investment Officer, and Chair of the Investment Strategy Team. He is a founding partner of Balentine, and a member of the Management Committee.

As Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Strategist at Wilmington Trust, he chaired the firm’s Investment Strategy Team. Adrian also previously served as Director, Deputy Head of Quantitative Equity Products at Schroders in London, where his team managed more than $3 billion across global equity markets for institutional and private investors.

Adrian holds a Ph.D. in Macroeconomics and Econometrics and a master’s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, where he served as Assistant Director of Studies at King’s College. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics, with honors, from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Adrian has served on and moderated many panels of industry experts, and he has addressed diverse groups including the CFA Institute’s Annual Conference, CFA Society of Philadelphia, the Boston Security Analysts Society, the Georgia Tech MBA program, the Southern Federal Tax Institute, the Southeastern Council of Foundations, and the Georgetown University Law Center’s Continuing Legal Education program.

He volunteers as a member of the Endowment Committee of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta and teaches CFA Review courses for the CFA Society of Atlanta. Adrian was awarded The Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Top 40 Under 40 Award in 2011, an honor designating the region’s up and coming business and community leaders.

 

Karen Carlisle,Vice President, Corporate Communications & Development, Nobis Works (formerly Tommy Nobis Center)

 

Karen Carlisle joined the Nobis Works staff five years ago, after serving on the organization’s board of directors for five years. She leads the corporate communications, fundraising and vehicle donation programs.

Karen’s background includes heading public relations & government affairs for the U.S.headquarters of Solvay Pharmaceuticals and Randstad Staffing. She served previously for nine years as head of marketing and public relations at Atlanta’s Northside Hospital.

An Atlanta native, Karen holds a master’s degree in Public Relations from Georgia State University and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Auburn University (War Eagle!). Her civic affiliations include the Leadership Cobb and Honorary Commanders Alumni Associations, YWCA Tribute to Women of Achievement Award, Cobb Jury Commission, Marietta Kiwanis Club, and Chairing the Marietta 1st United Methodist Church Council.

Karen and her husband Kee live near the Marietta square. They have four children and a new granddaughter. Karen enjoys exploring Georgia backroads with Kee to discover unique folk artists and their work, and taking their chocolate lab Sam on walks at nearby Kennesaw Mountain.
